title="Poker" href="http://www.top10pokerbonuses.com" target="_blank">poker players for every type of event at the WSOP. These are single and multi table satellites.

holdem. Each player starts with the same amount of chips and plays until a winner is determined. Many times, players will chop one of these satellites when they reach heads-up. A $125 satellite will win you an entry into a $1,000 event. A $175 will win you entry into a $1,500 event. The $225 satellites will cover a $2,000 event. $325 satellites win your entry into a $3000 event. The $550 satellites will win your way into a $5,000 event. Finally the $1,000 satellites will win you an entry into a $10,000 buy-in event.

No limit holdem satellites are not the only type offered, but they are the most plentiful. With the exception of stud based games, satellites are 10 handed. Stud based games are 8 handed. The floor staff claim that they will offer any type of satellite desired, but unless you have a group ready to play now, don’t expect satellites for any game other than holdem except the day before and the day of a mixed event.

Next, let’s look at multi table satellites. Multi table satellites are usually for the Main Event. Players put up either $500 or $1,000 each and a certain number of Main Event seats are offered based on the prize pool. These satellites are referred to as Mega Satellites. They are scheduled at specific times in the day.

For those wanting to play in the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, your only viable option is the $5,000 H.O.R.S.E. mega. The same rules apply as the mega above, but the game is H.O.R.S.E. This is one type of satellite that you should expect to see even top named pros enter. I have watched names such as Layne Flack and Andy Bloch try to win their way via this option in the past.

The type of satellite you will want to play obviously will depend on what event you are interesting in playing. You may even want to play a couple of different satellites to win your way in. My first year at the WSOP, I chopped two satellites to win my way into the $1,500 stud event. I paid a total of $300 to enter my way in. I then later on won my entry into a $1,500 Limit Holdem event via satellite.

Starting with this past World Series you will find the single table satellites in the Tropical Room. Multi table satellites are held in either the Brasilia room or in the Amazon Room. The HORSE satellite is almost always held in the Amazon room so that they can attract a crowd.

Whichever satellite you play, play to win as there is typically one winner. Satellites can be an inexpensive way to win your way into the big dance, so give them a shot. Good luck to you at the tables.

Play online poker on WSOP Player of Year points can only be earned through qualifying bracelet events.

Now let’s enter the satellite room. The satellite area is located in the Tropical room. Much like Brasilia, there are dozens of poker tables in this room as well. The main difference is that these are all single table satellites of all varying sizes and games. The predominant game is naturally No-Limit Holdem, but the staff will run satellites for other bracelet events depending on demand and also if there is a bracelet event in a mixed game that day or the next day. Satellites run from $125 to $1,000. The only satellites that are not held in the Tropical room are Mega Satellites and satellites to the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. Those are held either in Brasilia or the Amazon room. The locations of those two satellites vary, so you will want to ask when registering.

After leaving the Tropical room, turn left and you will arrive back to the cross section that includes the Total Rewards desk. Take a right and enter the first door to check out the gift shop. Unlike the stands you see in the hallway, this shop is exclusively WSOP merchandise. You will find items in here you will not see in other areas including key chains, mugs, specialized poker sets, and various WSOP clothing. You can also purchase snacks, food, and beverages in this shop. For those of you that play at other Harrahs properties and have built up comp money on your Total Rewards card, you can use that card in this shop to purchase items. I personally had $200 in comps from another property and was able to use it to purchase WSOP merchandise.

Once you leave the gift shop, hang a left and walk all the way to the end of the hall and head outside. This is the location of the poker kitchen. Here you can buy burgers, subs, pizza, fruit, and other items. The food can be a little pricey, but you can usually buy a meal for around $10 to $15. If you play in a WSOP event, you will get a $10 comp towards the poker kitchen.

At this point you have been around to the major areas at the World Series of Poker. Of course, if you get lost, you can always ask someone to point you in the right direction. Another trick is to follow the masses of people walking around. Eventually you will end up where you want to be. Now go out and try and win yourself an entry into an event. Good luck at the tables.

World Series of Poker is currently held every year at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. For those of you that never have been to the World Series of Poker, you may wonder what you will be in store for if you actually attend the event. First, realize that you are not just attending a set of poker tournaments, but instead you are attending a major event. The crowds will be larger, the competition tougher, and the experience awe inspiring.

When you first turn into the Rio from Flamingo, you will want to keep right and drive by the Hotel entrance. There will be signs pointing your way to the World Series of Poker. You will arrive to the convention center parking lot. If you are driving, you have an option of parking in the free parking area or using Valet. Valet is free, but a tip is expected and deserved. If you are in a cab, they will take you to the front of the convention center.

You will notice first a tarped off walkway with red carpet and mist blowing units to cool off guests. This looks cute, but you do not have to use that walkway. Go up the steps and enter the front doors of the convention center. As you enter the doorway, take a right. You will then begin to walk down a long hallway towards the convention center. Along the way you may see different booths for online sites or other merchants that setup during the World Series. As you get closer to the actual Amazon Room, you will notice monitors welcoming you to the World Series of Poker. One monitor will likely be continuously playing ESPN broadcast from past years.

Just before you reach these monitors, you may notice a good size room with a lot of tables and players. This room looks like it could be the World Series, but don’t be fooled. This is the Brasilia Room. The Brasilia room is part of the World Series, but it is not where the bulk of the events are held. Brasilia is where evening non-bracelet tournaments and Day 2’s of bracelet events are held.

Just beyond the monitors you will notice a desk with a Total Rewards Sign on it. If you have never played at a Harrahs property or if you never signed up for a Total Rewards Card, you need to sign up for one. This card is required to play in any event or satellite at the World Series of Poker.

After getting your cards, you notice you have three directions to go. Do not go right as this area is primarily for media and television. You will want to go left. You will notice several booths including massage therapists, a gift stand, and other poker related booths. The main WSOP gift shop is the first door you pass down this hallway. As you turn, you should notice the Players Entrance for the World Series of Poker. Next time, we will actually go inside and check out the main areas of the World Series of Poker.
<div
